Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Farabi ve Nietzsche felsefelerinde, insanın ne olduğunu, insanın varlık olarak Tanrı ile irtibatını, insan yaşamında değerlerin yerini, toplumsal bir varlık olan insanın toplum içindeki rolünü ele almak ve insanın en yüksek mertebesi olan "ideal insan" ile "üstinsan" tasavvurlarının genel niteliklerini tüm yönleriyle ele alarak, bu iki insan tipinin genel karşılaştırmasını yapmaktır. Karmaşık bir yapıya sahip olan ve her devirde araştırmaların ilk konusu olan insanın daha iyi anlaşılması için, Farabi ve Nietzsche'nin genel felsefeleri, insanı ele alış şekilleri, insan anlayışları, Farabi’nin ideal insan tasavvuru ile Nietzsche’nin üstinsan tasavvuru karşılaştırılarak benzer ve farklı yönleri belirtilmiştir. Her iki filozofun da amacı, insanın, potansiyelini kullanarak mükemmelliğe ulaşmasını sağlamaktır. Farabi bu mükemmelliğe ideal insan ile, Nietzsche ise üstinsan ile ulaşılabileceğini belirtmektedir. Hem ideal insan hem de üstinsan insanın ulaşabileceği en üst mertebedir ve insanlığı yönetecek kişidir.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to discussin Farabi and Nietzsche philosophies what human is, human's connection with God as a being, the place of values in human life, the role of human as a social being in society, and to make a general comparison of these two types of people by considering in all aspects the general qualities of the highest order of Man, the "ideal person" and the "Superman". Farabi and Nietzsche, the way they handle human being, their understanding of human, Farabi's ideal person imagination and Nietzsche's superman imagination are compared and their similar and different aspects are specified. The aim of both philosophers is to enable human being to achieve perfection by using his potential. Farabi states that this perfection can be achieved with the ideal person, and Nietzsche states that it can be achieved with the superman. Both an ideal personand a Superman are the highest order that a person can reach, and he is the one who will rule humanity.
