Abstract
Harput, geçmişten günümüze kadar bölgede daima önemli bir ilim ve kültür merkezi olmuştur. Her türlü ilmi faaliyetler derin bir hoşgörü ortamında yürütülmüş ve bu özellikleriyle akli ve nakli ilimler alanında pek çok seçkin düşünüre ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Tarihi seyir içerisinde oldukça canlı ve dinamik bir görünüm arz eden bu ilmi ve kültürel hayat içerisinde ilmin hemen her alanında önemli eserlere imza atılmıştır.
Tarihin incelenmesi kadar unutulan kültür değerlerinin de canlandırılıp tanıtılması ve bununla beraber bu kültür değerlerinin beslendiği yer olan ilim yuvalarının araştırılarak günümüze dolayısıyla yarınlara aktarılması elzemdir. Çalışmamızın amacı da bu gayenin gerçekleşmesine ufak da olsa bir katkı sunmaktır.

Abstract
Harput has always been an important scientific and cultural center in the region from past to present. All kinds of scientific activities were carried out in an atmosphere of deep tolerance and with these features, it hosted many distinguished thinkers in the field of mental and transplant sciences. In this scientific and cultural life, which has a very lively and dynamic appearance in the historical course, important works have been signed in almost every field of science.
It is essential to revive and introduce the forgotten cultural values as well as to examine the history, and to research the science nests, where these cultural values are fed, and to transfer them to the present and thus to the future. The aim of our study is to make a small contribution to the realization of this aim.
