Abstract

Abstract

Molla Sadra speaks of the existence of three realms in different dimensions and that each realm has its own hell. Therefore, hell, like the realm of existence, is of three types. Because the world and the hereafter are a whole, according to him, the torments in the hereafter are a different manifestation (reflection) of the evil done in the world. The doors to Hell open from the inner world of a person, and these doors sometimes lead people to Heaven and sometimes to Hell, depending on the results of their actions. Because the pain in the next world is the exact equivalent of the actions in this world. Because there is not difference but similarity and harmony between the act and the perpetrator. For this reason, hell is not ontologically bad, it is the name of the land that brings people to perfection, heals the diseases in their souls, and allows them to enter heaven by purifying their nature.

According to Sadra, Allah's mercy, which covers the whole world, is essential. It is not cruelty for people to lead their way to Hell, because Allah does not punish His servants. Hell is like a doctor's painful prescription to heal his patient, for one of the ways in the world to heal a wound is to cauterize it with fire. As a matter of fact, the pain suffered in treatment is not a means of revenge, but rather a means of achieving greater good.
